I MILLE DI SGARBI - CERVIA DAL 4 AL 12 LUGLIO - LO STATO DELL' ARTE CONTEMPORANEA IN ITALIA -

Dal 4 al 12 luglio, ai Magazzini del Sale di Cervia va in scena la III edizione della mostra i Mille di Sgarbi – Lo Stato dell'Arte Contemporanea in Italia, con una selezione di pittori, scultori e fotografi italiani ed internazionali scelti da Vittorio Sgarbi. Mentre a Cortina, al Museo Mario Rimoldi delle Regole di Ampezzo, è ancora in corso la II edizione de I Mille di Sgarbi, la III edizione torna a Cervia per il secondo anno consecutivo, dove aveva debuttato nel 2019 grazie all’idea dei collaboratori di Vittorio Sgarbi, Sauro Moretti, suo manager e Nino Ippolito, suo capo ufficio stampa. Un gemellaggio importante, tra due città simbolo delle mete turistiche italiane di maggior interesse internazionale: la regina delle Dolomiti e la perla della riviera romagnola, unite dall’arte per ripartire in nome di un turismo di qualità, più lento e all’insegna della cultura, sempre più al centro dell’attenzione come simbolo di un nuovo inizio. Infatti, la collettiva contemporanea dei Mille a Cervia rappresenta una delle prime mostre ad inaugurare subito dopo i mesi di chiusura forzata, che anzi, proprio nel periodo più buio e incerto è stata progettata e voluta dai collaboratori di Sgarbi, che non hanno mai smesso di credere nell’opportunità dell’arte come simbolo della ripartenza dell’Italia. “*Se qualcosa questo virus ci ha insegnato,* - scrive Sgarbi - *è che l’arte ha sempre più necessità di essere vista dal vivo e che il web non può garantire le stesse emozioni di un'opera d’arte vissuta dal vivo. L’arte ha sempre la necessità di manifestarsi in spazi fisici, pubblici e privati, come luogo di incontro dove mostrare nuove idee aperte alla discussione.”* Molte delle opere in mostra sono nate proprio nei mesi della chiusura, dove i pittori, gli scultori e grafici, già abituati a lavorare nel silenzio di uno studio che lascia il mondo fuori, hanno espresso le paure, le ansie, le incertezze e la rabbia di questo momento sulla materia. E i fotografi, costretti dal distanziamento sociale a scattare muovendosi come dei ladri per le vie delle loro città, hanno ripreso scorci dove l’uomo è solo un fantasma di passaggio. Ma non solo: molte delle foto in mostra sono state scattate pochi anni o mesi prima dell’avvento del Covid-19 e relative restrizioni. Fotografie che prima ci avrebbero raccontato poco di eccezionale ma, nel tempo breve eppur interminabile del confinamento domestico, quelle immagini ci sembrano appartenere a un passato lontanissimo, di cui non vediamo ancora il ritorno: è la normalità, quella dei bambini che giocano liberi per strada, di un mercato affollato, di persone che semplicemente vivono la vita come l’abbiamo sempre concepita e che oggi subiamo con cautela e impaccio. E ci sono naturalmente le opere che non risentono del momento e che mantengono temi e soggetti cari all’artista che preferisce estraniarsi ed innalzarsi con visione ascetica dal tormento della cronaca. Proprio quest'ultima e il suo impatto sull’immaginario collettivo, è la spinta alla creazione di opere che si fondano sul percepito comune del Paese, tra verità e bufale, per arrivare a farsi manifesti veri e propri dell'incertezza e sfiducia ancora in corso. Non solo riguardo al virus ma anche alle problematiche ambientali ed economiche di un sistema che non regge più, in mezzo alle strabilianti notizie quotidiane. The Italian Artshow format "I Mille di Sgarbi" was born in 2019 thanks to the idea of ??Vittorio Sgarbi's collaborators, Sauro Moretti, his manager and Nino Ippolito, the press officer. An important twinship, between two iconic Italian tourist destinations: the queen of the Dolomites (Cortina d'Ampezzo) and the pearl of the Riviera Romagna (Cervia). The two cities are strickly linked by art to promote the best tour itineraries for art and culture-oriented. The aim of this edition of "I Mille Sgarbi" is to evocate a new economic re-start for Italy after the lockdown thanks to the power of Art and its protagonists. The contemporary collective that will be displayed in Cervia is one of the first art shows set up after the strict quarantine in Italy. The event has been designed and warmly wanted by Sgarbi's collaborators (Sauro Moretti e Nino Ippolito), who never stop to believe in boosting the Italian economy through cultural initiatives. “* If anything this virus has ever taught us, * - writes Sgarbi - * is that art needs to be seen alive and that the web does not guarantee the same emotions. Art always needs to express itself in physical, public, and private spaces, as a meeting place to showcase new ideas and discuss it."* Many of the works on display have been designed during the Italian lockdown. Painters, sculptors, and graphic designers, already used to work in the silence of a study that has left the world outside, they expressed their fears, anxieties, uncertainties, and anger. Photographers, forced by social distancing, were forced to shoot moving like thieves through the streets of their cities. They anyway took glimpses of where a man had just passed as a ghost. But not only that: many of the photos on display have been taken a few years or months before the advent of Covid-19. And of course, there are the works that are not affected by the moment and that they maintain themes and subjects dear to the artist who prefers to estrange themselves and rise with the ascetic vision from the torment of the news. The impact on the collective imagination is the drive to create works based on the common perception of the country, between truth and hoaxes, to get to make real iconic posters. The exhibition will be open to the public from 4th till the 12th of July 2020, every day, with free admission, from 7.00 p.m. to 12.00 pm.
